Our Team
Travis Showalter - Travis is our business manager. He is responsible for managing our great team of professionals and handling all the not so fun stuff like paying bills. He is a consummate business professional that truly enjoys helping others. He works hard to make your visit to our office as enjoyable and relaxing as can be. Travis and his bride, Dr. Showalter, have two kids. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Lu Stricker – Lu is our Financial Secretary. She is responsible for filing all insurance claims and working with insurance companies to make sure you get the most of your dental benefits. Lu has over 35 years experience in the dental field and is an asset to our office and our patients. Lu is truly a kind hearted person. She works hard to make sure you completely understand the fees for treatment and what you can expect from any insurance benefits you may have. She lives in Milton with her husband, Doug and enjoys golfing in her spare time.
Ashley Christensen – Ashley is our Appointment Secretary. It is her responsibility to make sure we find an appointment time that works with your schedule. Ashley is a new addition to our team at Rock River Dental. She is a compassionate person who takes pride in helping our patients to get the treatment they need while accommodating our patients busy lives. She resides in Fort Atkinson with her husband Orin. Katie Goodman – Katie is one of our Hygienists. She has a gentle and caring approach to improving your dental health. She graduated from Waukesha Technical College in 2004 with an associates degree in Dental Hygiene. When she is not helping to improve our patient’s dental health, she enjoys reading, snow skiing and spending time with her friends and family.
Heather Ward – Heather is one of our Hygienists. She is a kind and caring person who strives to provide patients with the knowledge and care to live life with a healthy smile. Heather graduated from Waukesha Technical College in 1998 with an associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She is an understanding and gentle professional with over 14 years experience in the dental field. Heather is an avid runner who enjoys biking, photography and spending time with family and friends.
Kathy Dorn – Kathy is one of our Dental Assistants. She is a thoughtful and compassionate person who keeps us all smiling with her sense of humor. Kathy has been a part of our team since 2003. She resides in Fort Atkinson and is the proud mother of two great kids, Katie and Sam. In her free time, she enjoys fun with family and friends and golfing.
Heather Brown– Heather is one of our Dental Assistants. She is caring and gentle with a great sense of humor. Her sweet personality can make even the most nervous patient feel comfortable. Heather graduated from Blackhawk Technical College in 2011 from the Advanced Dental Assistant Program. She resides in Fort Atkinson with her family. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys playing golf, painting and scrapbooking.
